Side Plates

Before ordering, check the mounting spacing on your existing strap. Side plates are not universal across every strap generation, and a set that does not line up is a set that does not fit — there is no adjustment to work around it. If you are unsure, measure the centre-to-centre distance between the existing mounting points and compare it against the set you are considering.

The plates themselves are built the same way as the plates on our full-size belts: struck from metal, plated, and polished individually before packing. They arrive as a matched pair in a presentation box, which is worth knowing if you are buying them as a gift rather than as a component.

Collectors typically end up with more plate sets than belts, and that is the sensible way round. One well-chosen strap and centreplate can carry several configurations across a year, and swapping plates takes minutes rather than requiring another metre of wall space. If you are starting out, buy the belt first and let the plate collection grow around it.

As with everything in this catalogue, these are display-grade replicas of the designs rather than production pieces.

Side plate sets exist for most of the major championships — world heavyweight, Intercontinental, the US title and the tag team belts among them. Because they mount separately from the centreplate, one strap can carry several configurations across a year, which is why most collectors end up with more plate sets than belts.

Sets are made to order like everything else here, so a combination you cannot see listed is worth asking about rather than writing off.
