What "display grade" means
A display-grade belt is produced to the design. It guarantees the design, the materials specification and the manufacturing standard. It is not a statement about resale value.
What ships with a signed belt
Autographed pieces are signed in person and photographed at signing. Each ships with a certificate of authenticity carrying a serial that matches the record for that signature. Keep the certificate — a signed belt without its paperwork is worth materially less.
Four things that give away a knock-off
- Printed plates. Hold it at an angle. A struck plate has physical relief; a printed one is flat under the lacquer.
- Bonded leather. Bonded and split leather creases white and cracks. Full-grain takes a crease and keeps its colour.
- Snap spacing. Adult display belts use a consistent adjustable snap layout. Random spacing is a tell.
- Weight. A full-size replica is heavy. If it feels light, the plates are not metal.

01Is a replica the same as the belt used on TV?
No. A replica is built to the same design and to display standard, but the belts carried on television are one-off production pieces that are not sold.
02Can I get a belt authenticated later?
Signed pieces already carry a certificate. For unsigned belts, the build quality is inherent to the product — there is no separate certificate.
03Do you buy or trade belts?
Not at the moment. We sell new stock only, which is how we can guarantee what you receive.
